Stace:
I prefer to workout at home, too. (Our cat has outgrown the attack stage, but if I get on the floor to do crunches, I'm vulnerable to a double dog slobber assault.) I have a very nice weight machine and some dumbbells, but they're in our depressing storage area, and I've gotten out of shape because I don't like to spend time in there.

So, I've taken a second look at resistance bands, or tubes, whatever you want to call them. Even though I'm a female, I like to use a lot of resistance, and I always thought elastic bands were too wimpy. I bought a stout set recently, though, and I've found that if you learn a few tips on how to use them, you can get a lot out of them. I keep the set of tubes in our living room in a drawer under the TV set, near the computer, so I have no excuse to avoid a workout. Already, I've seen a big improvement in my upperbody strength.

This may not not be news to anyone else, but I've been pleasantly surprised.

Commenting on Dean's World is a privilege, not a right. Dean is your host, you are his guest, and you should behave in that fashion. Dean is not your babysitter, nor is he your punching bag. Please remember this. In general, you are free to disagree with anyone on any subject you wish, but abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.

Still: behave like an adult, or go find somewhere else to play. Thanks.
