Disappearing Car Door

This is probably not cost-effective, and I worry about how you get out if your car battery dies, but very cool-looking and extremely convenient in certain situations, as the video points out.

And yes, this is apparently for real.

Yay! Something to put on my Kia Rio! [along with those spinning rims, tiny steering wheel, bouncing front end, nitro injection, etc]

It looks very promising. If you watch the slide presentation it is with comparable the production cost of a power van door. After market though would probably be a whole lot more.

They also posted the clip on YouTube, so I will be to posting it on my blog and forum.

BTW it also has a manual over ride Dave, so I suppose that would take care of a dead battery situation.

Commenting on Dean's World is a privilege, not a right. Dean is your host, you are his guest, and you should behave in that fashion. Dean is not your babysitter, nor is he your punching bag. Please remember this. In general, you are free to disagree with anyone on any subject you wish, but abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.

Still: behave like an adult, or go find somewhere else to play. Thanks.
