Digital Delight or Decadent Damnation?
Dave Price
I'm not sure quite what to make of this (very NSFW), but I'm guessing we'll see a lot more of it in the years ahead. Some will argue over when this represents the best or worst of a liberalized society, but keep in mind this kind of thing drove the Internet's growth and the trillions of dollars in wealth created out of thin air therein.
Interesting trailer (also very NSFW), anyway. It appears to use the Grand Theft Auto video game engine.

But the dynamics may be changing. For a decade, there were two things that were generally true about the Internet: porn was the big money maker; and porn was a big tech driver, because their demands for bandwidth were huge, driven in part by those large profits. You could almost say the porn led the Web.
But recently, Professor Reynolds linked a story -- long since lost from my browser history -- that indicated that porn may still be leading the way; only the way they were leading was into a world where there was so much acceptable-quality user-created content that the money was going out of the business. As the old saying goes (in another context, of course), why buy the cow when milk is free? Apparently there are an awful lot of amateurs willing to have sex and put the videos online, and ad/subscription revenues at the porn sites are dropping.
Unfortunately, it ain't over, yet.
How far till 'star trek' holographic realism?
It's a wonder our species has survive this long.
~Hey. Iffen you really want to poke the hornet's nest.....tell the incisor vaginas over at www.feministing.com about this beta male tripe.
it could be that this technology is the answer to the free porn. if people are going to have sex and show the world for free, you may as well make some money on the mode by which they do that. this virtual world seems to be at least one answer to that.
Crockett and Tubbs where nowhere to be seen!
ROBOTSVIRTUAL REALITY SIMULATIONS!No, he still is. It's a thing he does.
Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.
Still: behave like an adult, or go find somewhere else to play. Thanks.
