Predictions for 2008
Dave Schuler
I've posted my predictions for 2008 at The Glittering Eye. I've also included a round-up of predictions.
My track record is running at 73% for both 2005 and 2006. Your own predictions are welcome in the comments either here or at TGE.

I also predict that the upcoming election will be nasty and that it will end with the nation split at least as much as it is today along ideological boundaries.
I predict that technology will continue to frighten the hell out of a lot of people.
I predict that you will begin to see a significant counter-movement to Church of Global Warming as the world does not come to an end, and data contradicting St. Algore begins to overwhelm ideologically motivated attempts to hide it.
I also predict that the New England Patriots will make history by winning the Super Bowl.
I do predict that the RIAA issues will come to a head in 08, for a few reasons... [and not just from that post].
Also, I think MS will start taking a serious hit in portable machines, as more flash-memory based subnotebooks and UMPCs become available/popular. That isn't because Vista is inherently bad or unsuited, BTW, but because it increases cost of ownership on the devices.
Can't agree with you on Clinton vs. Romney or Clinton vs. McCain. Edwards vs. Huckabee we are in agreement, though.
I further predict that Thompson won't win a single state, while Clinton will win the nomination, all despite day by day's best (but still unfunny) efforts.
Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.
Still: behave like an adult, or go find somewhere else to play. Thanks.
