Not really. Got sent home. But I'm in contact with the EAP program and it looks like they don't actually want to fire me. So that's progress, at least.

I just spent a couple days in the hospital (after 9 days on the road).

And I thought I had it bad.

Wrong!

Turns out it was just a broken bone that will heal in a month or so.

Its going to take you a year or two.

Damn Dean, I'm sorry I've been hit or miss here. I have a sister who has been given 6 months to a year to live, but I've also got kids and all that real life stuff too. Trying to juggle that emotional roller coaster is frustrating. I can only imagine what you are going through.

Still, and all, just email me if you'd like. I'd be happy to give you my number if you need a shoulder to vent on.

Good to have you back Dean. I could come up with a lot of corny cliches, but that would be sort of tacky.

In return I can tell you, a blogging community of friends and people you've never met can be very comforting at times. It helped me through the passing of my father.

Commenting on Dean's World is a privilege, not a right. Dean is your host, you are his guest, and you should behave in that fashion. Dean is not your babysitter, nor is he your punching bag. Please remember this. In general, you are free to disagree with anyone on any subject you wish, but abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.

Still: behave like an adult, or go find somewhere else to play. Thanks.
