Way back in the days of combat in Viet Nam and discontent in the military, I was going thru a friend's high school yearbook, and came upon a group photo of the Future Teachers of America, identified only by their acronym, which I chose to misinterpret. I don't think my friend was amused.

Well, the Jane Fonda movie by the same name would have put anybody into a bad mood.

Ha! That is a great story!

What's disgusting is that so many people are still not aware of the extent of the horror, even though all the information is readily available.

Stace: No kidding. Not that the U.S. and the West were angels who did everything right, because we weren't. That's not the point. Look at history and who was the good guys and who was the bad guys, then it's pretty obvious who wore the white hat.

That's right: during the Cold War, America was the good guy. Not the perfect guy, but the good guy. Deal with it.

Commenting on Dean's World is a privilege, not a right. Dean is your host, you are his guest, and you should behave in that fashion. Dean is not your babysitter, nor is he your punching bag. Please remember this. In general, you are free to disagree with anyone on any subject you wish, but abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.

Still: behave like an adult, or go find somewhere else to play. Thanks.
