are you kidding? ah, you didn't read the link... shame!

a shark jump is a point past which the series should never have progressed. What we are talking about here is a final, ending point. Beyond which the series won't progress. get the drift?

if Battlestar Galactica is fundamentally a story about finding Earth, it ends when you find Earth.

Oh, I read it. It's nice that they realize this is the end, unlike Happy Days.

This show sucks like a Black Hole.

and here I thought Ali had the DW monopoly on sexual innuendo :)

Impossible! I practically invented sexual innuendo.

Perhaps I should have said this show blows like a $10 hooker...

I like it. Too many shows just go as long as there's interest, instead of seeking to tell a story. Perhaps there will be a TV movie or two afterwards, but this is a smart, even respectful move by BSG and SciFi. Of course, it's possible that a lot of their actors are getting offers for other projects as well, and so this is a way of keeping them on while not requiring them to make major career decisions.

The Queen has never really given it a chance.

In any case: I have to admit I'm a little psyched. As pissed-off as this series has left me a few times, if they're actually going to say "hey, we're going to go out with a bang and not just string you along forever until you lose interest," then I really respect that.

I assume they mean it, and now am looking forward to next season.

Artistic courage starts with being able to say "we were going somewhere, and we got there." I really believe that.

Agreed, Dean. I've always been concerned that the Sci-Fi Channel would be tempted to see how long they could milk the series before quitting. Then we would have been watching the most recent iteration of Lost In Space (after Voyager, that is {g})...

Or Gilligan's Island, for that matter.

I was wondering if they were shooting for the magic five-year mark in the same manner as Babylon 5; apparently not.

Given that Season 4 is the closer, let's all devoutly hope that Moore pulls all the strings together in a creatively excellent way.

Commenting on Dean's World is a privilege, not a right. Dean is your host, you are his guest, and you should behave in that fashion. Dean is not your babysitter, nor is he your punching bag. Please remember this. In general, you are free to disagree with anyone on any subject you wish, but abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.

Still: behave like an adult, or go find somewhere else to play. Thanks.
