I'm disappointed too. She was the only singer up there with balls. And that includes the guys.

I suspect we'll be hearing more of and from her, though. She's certainly good enough.

I’m not too surprised either. She probably broadened her appeal to a different audience last night, but I suspect she lost more of her core voters in the deal then she gained in converts.

But I’m not too disappointed. I still believe that the greatest accomplishment in the show is just making the top ten.

After that, the longer you stay on, obviously, the better. But I suspect the effect is pretty marginal, long term, for those voted off between spot 10 and spot 3.

I knew she wouldn't make it to the final 3 but I'm terribly disappointed by who didn't go before her.

It seems unjust to see Sanjaya in the mid 3 and Haley and Phil walk over to the peers while Gina is expelled.

I liked her moxy and her smile.

Ack! There goes the ending of tonight's episode...

I'm in Japan, and we usually don't get around to watching the latest episode of American Idol until about 9 in the morning the day after, American time.

So, note to self: Don't visit Dean's World in the middle of the week!

Haley was obviously crushed at the news that she will have to be insulted and condescended to for another week. She looked utterly miserable.

You know at this point, there are probably 3-4 of them who would rather go home, but can't quit or do an obvious tank job without losing the touring contract and money (Chris Sligh referred to wanting to quit, but not do to losing those regards).

Commenting on Dean's World is a privilege, not a right. Dean is your host, you are his guest, and you should behave in that fashion. Dean is not your babysitter, nor is he your punching bag. Please remember this. In general, you are free to disagree with anyone on any subject you wish, but abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.

Still: behave like an adult, or go find somewhere else to play. Thanks.
