As one of your most frequent foils, I too hate to see you go. I may soon be joining you for all the same reasons, but I'm hoping that Dean realizes that his line in the sand has been drawn poorly.
Like you Dean is my largest blog referrer to CosmicConservative. I too consider Dean to be a friend, I worked with him once briefly in a previous life, and I know he's a good guy with a deep concern for, as you say, the underdog.

I'm not a front pager, just a commenter. While I rarely post, I liked having the option to if I wanted to join the discussion. I believe that I've not gotten out of line, while still saying what I thought needed to be said.
Regardless of the rest of Ron's post or the points that Dean has outlined, and regardless of whether or not I agree with any of it... I won't allow myself to let someone else dictate how I think. If I don't withdraw now, then by inaction/complacency, I would be allowing just that.
Dean and Queen, best wishes to you and yours. Feel free to take me off of your list of submitters. If, in the future, you decide to reconsider your choice, then I would be willing to consider being a submitter again.
It's been interesting. I believe that it was here that I found out about the Hurricane Katrina Kids Relief convoy. That in itself changed my life.
Ron you are welcome to come blog for me. We have a more realistic view is Islam on my blog...some of us having been near the more nasty variety. We don't censor you but expect you to take criticism like the rest of us. I would extend this invitation to anyone else who contributes here and feels no longer welcome.
Commenting on Dean's World is a privilege, not a right. Dean is your host, you are his guest, and you should behave in that fashion. Dean is not your babysitter, nor is he your punching bag. Please remember this. In general, you are free to disagree with anyone on any subject you wish, but abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.
