Damn! The way it moves it looks like someone is wearing it.
I don't particularly need my robots to be humanoid-ish but I guess it would help them get around. I live on a third floor condo, if it's going to cary my groceries I guess it'd need to be able to navigate the stairs...
Asimo has been an on-going project for Honda for about 20 years.
The temptation for those watching this is to assume that they've just sort of got this thing wired up or that it's all just carefully timed. No, this creature is capable of exactly this sort of voice-response spontaneous interaction.
And yes, it is the future you're looking at. Or one part of it.
Do they have one available yet to do housework? 'Cause I want one!

Commenting on Dean's World is a privilege, not a right. Dean is your host, you are his guest, and you should behave in that fashion. Dean is not your babysitter, nor is he your punching bag. Please remember this. In general, you are free to disagree with anyone on any subject you wish, but abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.
Still: behave like an adult, or go find somewhere else to play. Thanks.
