Anyone looking for a .NET/Tablet PC/UML guru? I'm starting to look for new work, preferably West Michigan. Working three hours from home sucks, and it's sucking me dry.
What I want to know is what ever happened to the whole "Cylon Resistance" idea from the end of Season 2. Boomer identifies with the humans, then sides with Caprica Six, and then tells Athena that Hera is still alive. What, D'Anna didn't reincarnate and tell anyone that Boomer had crushed her head in with a rock? Did I miss an episode? Seriously, what the frak?
Just a reminder that we need to support independent journalists with our cash.
I'll be out of a job soon, but it didn't stop me from putting my money where my mouth is by kicking a few bucks to an indy journalist. Just pretend you're buying a couple of magazines.
If you've enjoyed their writing, do so now. Prayers and comments don't feed families or pay for trips to the various hellholes on this planet.
Nah, you're confusing the actor with the act, Elisha. As Spider Robinson once explained, if someone who commits a felony is a felon, then someone who commits an irony is an iron.
And from that, he concluded: God is an iron.

Commenting on Dean's World is a privilege, not a right. Dean is your host, you are his guest, and you should behave in that fashion. Dean is not your babysitter, nor is he your punching bag. Please remember this. In general, you are free to disagree with anyone on any subject you wish, but abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.
Still: behave like an adult, or go find somewhere else to play. Thanks.

Don't try this at home.
And I feel kinda bad for smiling about that.
But not too bad...

I just can’t imagine waiting another 2 hours to find out that Sadam is finally dead
I just checked my Paypal account, and I donated $550 to bloggers this year. That surprised me a bit. I didn’t realize it was that much money.
But I don’t feel bad about it, considering the enjoyment and education I have received in return.
I truly believe in the informative power of the blogosphere, and “citizen journalism”, and I’m willing to support it.
I’ve got my post-Saddam playlist cued:
“Ding Dong the Witch is Dead!” from the Wizard of Oz
“Swingin’” by John Anderson
and “The Stars and Stripes Forever” in the hope of justice and freedom for all.
The bastard's dead
I have my own thoughts about his recent demise.
Hanging Hussein
He's gone now though.
The Iraqis just demonstrated that in some things, they're far more responsible than the vaunted "international community".
“You Ain’t Seen Nothin Yet”
I hope it’s true.
I saw this a few years ago and was pretty good, but keep missing it lately. Apparently they don't rerun.
Or at the very least, the Europeans.
I had figured he was the perfect Democratic presidential candidate too...
Oh well. I'm glad he's dead and won't miss him.
Remember: Pay for content by supporting your favorite indy journalists.
And that includes Cox and Forkum and Day By Day.
There's a certain irony to that remark.
Irony is one of those words, like faith, that I find difficult to comprehend.
Would you kindly elaborate a bit?
