Yep. If Hezbollah is a modernized, theocratic fascist group, the SSNP is classical, old-school, Hitler/Mussolini/Franco/Saddam fascism. They'll make a few mealy-mouthed halfhearted statements about religion but they're pure old-fashioned national socialists. They were founded by an Orthodox Christian in fact. More on them here.
The swastika was the first thing I noticed, right after reading "Syrian Social Nationalist Party". The red, black, and white color scheme was another tip-off.
You know, "German Workers National Socialist Party", NSDAP, Nazis.
Yep, Mr. Baker, I'm ready to sit down and negotiate with them.
Just like the Soviets were allies of the West when we had that little tiff with the Nazis back in the forties. And I am glad that alliance ended, also.
{I know, Dean, you get the context for allying with scum when dealing with other scum. An unfortunate necessity. Problem is, too many others don't.}
They're still scum, by the way. Even when they were allies.

Commenting on Dean's World is a privilege, not a right. Dean is your host, you are his guest, and you should behave in that fashion. Dean is not your babysitter, nor is he your punching bag. Please remember this. In general, you are free to disagree with anyone on any subject you wish, but abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.
Still: behave like an adult, or go find somewhere else to play. Thanks.
