It's the cheerleader thing I don't get, that and the incredibly lame ass choreography. This coming from the same nation that brought us countless volumes of Swedish Erotica that often involved some very, very inventive and demanding choreography. Speaking of which, I think I've seen a few of those girls before...

BTW - Not entirely SFW link there, but not a bad place to shop.

The first video I was thinking they took some of those dance moves from Grease. At the end, when they fly away in the old car, it was clearly a parody of the movie.

I like the Crazy Train version, very funny.

Dean, what I want to know is why all the hostility toward Scandinavians? I mean, if you'd dialogue with some *real* Scandinavians you might understand where we're coming from with the bad music and worse dancing.

Let me offer myself up as a moderate Scandinavian-American - one that uneqivocally condemns this stunningly poor taste in music and dance. For my bona fides as a *real* Scandinavian, let me just tell you that I have actually eaten lutefisk - on more than one occasion! And the "fight song" of my alma mater, Pacific Lutheran University, goes (truthfully!), "Lutefisk! Lutefisk! Lefse! Lefse! We're the mighty Lutherans. Ja, sure. You betcha!"

So, rather than belittling Scandinavians for their ridiculous dancing and singing, maybe someone could just, you know, *ask us* what the heck it is we think we're doing. Is even that too much? There are millions of Scandinavians out there. Many of us don't do any dancing or singing at all, and have no desire to do so. And we're not lieing about that either!

Seeing those people dance to Crazy Train like that was sort of like watching a creepy BDSM video. Only instead of an 18 year old girl kicking a creepy looking guy in the balls, it was a bunch of creepy looking guys kicking Ozzy in the balls. *Shudder*

JRogge, I find your knowledge of BDSM videos -- disturbing.

But not as disturbing as that video.

Okay, Pete, I'll bite.

A Scandanavian viewpoint might be a VERY good thing.

What the heck is it you think you're doing?

I worked with a tech support team that had nothing better to do than go to "Consumption Junction" (What's your disfunction?) online many years back. I would hear "Hey come take a look at this! HAHAHA!" and out of morbid curiosity I would have to investigate. Needless to say after many of these occurances I saw a great deal that I didn't find funny, and wondered why they did.

Well, Linda, the truth is...we really don't know what it is we're doing. :-)

But my guess is that us Scandinavians are just a little bit *different* - just like everyone else.
