Recently, there was this book on the Singularity. Some crank named Kurzweil ranting about coming changes due to technological advances. It was romanticized technophilia from some crank who's all theory, and who knows nothing about the real world.

Cuz ya know, technology really hasn't changed our lives at all...

OK, OK, I can't keep the sarcasm up. Kudos to Mr. Kurzweil for demonstrating his own thesis!

I have a friend who, although not blind, nevertheless has vision so poor that she cannot read many books.
