Freakonomics has an interesting part arguing the Klu Klux Klan was deliberately, successfully stigmatized using comic books to mock them, and that it had a major impact on them.

Propaganda has its uses. Perhaps Al Qaeda could be similarly depopularized. Should the CIA be funding comic books?

I know good comics, and this is one of the better ones I've seen. Except that while the storyline was written by islamic folks, the artists are listed as John McCrea, James Hodgkins, and Comicraft. So I wonder, do they still have that muslim hangup about depicting the human figure?

I suppose we can expect that the Teshkeel Comics will get around to showing international zionism as the hidden hand of Hulagu the destroyer, returned to earth almost 800 years later to make sure the great libraries of Baghdad don't get rebuilt. But, by allah, The 99 will take care of that!
