Nah, Dean, they've convinced me. It's all a failure. With this much strife, the government can't function. US OUT OF IRAQ!
And then, just to be consistent, we need to withdraw from all nations where the government is tied up with partisan strife, starting with... US OUT OF US!
More seriously: this is going to be a close thing. If the Sunnis feel totally and completely screwed we can expect the insurgency to go on a few more years. If somehow they can be brought on board, however...
Did the United States take years to establish our democracy? I guess we did it overnight from what dumb stuff there is out there.
I am enraged over the Marines and the fact that we say, there will be a full investigation.
Bah...I stand by those Marines and absolutely say they are innocent until proven guilty. Sorry, today is when I decided to listen to no more radio talk shows and no more news on television and really am getting rid of television all together. Every darn show is the feminist movement and putting men in lesser positions and anchors on televison are the feminist nuts. Have you picked up a Redbook, Ladies Home Journal? lets just put these men and boys...ahhh, sorry Dean. I got way off here but I am soooo mad at media of all types!
Insurgency is going to happen and we are a strong nation so people need to shut up and let the men in uniform do their jobs! We have Army, Marines, Air Guard, Bortac (specialized Border patrol elite to help even that) and we have National Guard.

Actually, MaryJ, it's fair to say that we failed the first time out the gate. Remember the Articles of Confederation:
Still at war with the Kingdom of Great Britain, the colonists were reluctant to establish another powerful national government. Jealously guarding their new independence, the Continental Congress created a loosely structured unicameral legislature that protected the liberty of the individual states at the expense of the confederation. While calling on Congress to regulate military and monetary affairs, for example, the Articles of Confederation provided no mechanism to ensure states complied with requests for troops or revenue. At times this left the military in a precarious position, as George Washington wrote in a 1781 letter to the governor of Massachusetts, John Hancock.
After such a weak start, it's no wonder we fell into religious and factional infighting, became a hotbed of terrorism, and disintegrated without ever truly becoming a nation.
And then, just to be consistent, we need to withdraw from all nations where the government is tied up with partisan strife, starting with... US OUT OF US!
It's about time. :-)

Give it time people. Okay, I will shut up!
I lied, I did not shut up, now I will.
Well, I did it again. I am leaving, I am gone....

Not.
